In this day and age, you need to have access to the different online tools that you might face when you move onto college or into the working world. Many colleges and businesses use online tools, like this Wikispace, to gather information, connect with people globally, and so much more. The main goal of our class using this wiki is to integrate such tools into our everyday learning. Even though we cannot access these within the classroom all the time, extending our use of these tools outside the classroom is more essential, especially since many college courses utilize online access to discussions and resources to extend lectures and concepts that are covered within the classroom.
What you will find in our Class Wiki
Discussions: This page will have our week's current discussion topic, as well as the previous week's list.
Guidelines: This page will give you the guidelines and expectations I have for when you are posting on our Class Wiki.
Lesson Plans: I will be posting up the current week's lesson plans, that way you can be ahead of the game and be aware of what we will be covering in class.
Online Tools: I will place links to different online tools that I will require to be used for different projects and lessons, as well as for you to just dabble with.
Vocabulary: I will post the current week's vocabulary list, as well as the previous week's list.
Page and Discussion Tabs
You will notice that on each page you click on, there are two tabs at the top. Each tab has a different function
Page Tab: This will pull up the page, like what you see here. The Page Tab will pull up information that is provided.
Discussion Tab: This is where you will hold discussions with your classmates. You will click this tab and it will pull up a screen where you will see discussion threads. Each discussion thread will be designated to different discussion topics that I place on the Discussion page.
